It's good news that America is helping to reduce carbon dioxide!
The US Energy Information Administration's new report on U.S. Energy-Related Carbon Dioxide Emissions regarding the status in 2012, shows that carbon dioxide emissions actually declined 3.8% in 2012. The 2012 downturn means that emissions are at their lowest level since 1994 and over 12% below the recent 2007 peak. After 1990, only the recession year of 2009 saw a larger percentage emissions decrease than 2012. It's good news that energy-related carbon dioxide emissions have declined in five out of the last seven years to help our environment be better.
